30 and fab.

Standard

My 30th Birthday today – what better way to start it than with a fun run, just to show how far I have come.

It was the Brooks river run along the Maribyrnong river, the 8 km event. I ran it in 54 minutes, a 3.25 improvement since November. The last 2km I ran like a beast released from a cage. I developed blisters after 4km and they didn’t worry me till after the race. Must’ve been the endorphins!

Lunch at Cicciolina in St Kilda – a to die for (if a little small) blue swimmer crab souffle for entree, Steak with potato fondant for main. For dessert, across the road to Chocolateria San Churro for my favourite food – fried dough dipped in Chocolate mmmmmmmmmm

This arvo, fighting the urge to sleep off the boozy lunch, we went for a wander about in the Sydney Rd festival.

Then my fave crappy sunday night viewing.

All in all, a great day, certainly beats the 14 hour shift I worked 2 years ago on my birthday!!!
